Helen, while we were in Arizona, we heard of a two-year old boy taking the loaded gun off the bedside table at his grandpa’s house and shooting his sibling. We were appalled! But reading this article, I see that it isn’t that uncommon in the USA. Seems guns aren’t feared nearly as much as trans-gendered people! It’s getting to be a crazier world everyday.

Wow, I did not realize children were involved in so many shots to either themselves or someone else. But the picture of the young woman, accompanying your blog, with two little children, one of whom has a toy gun in a holster and the woman has a huge long gun over her shoulder is a picture which conveys a strong message. The poor children get caught with the wrong impression that guns are okay to handle, and they don’t know the difference between a toy and a real gun, which could kill someone, especially their parent. How sad.
